Gahanna is located along the Big Walnut Creek and known as the “Herb Capital of Ohio.” With an estimated population of 36,000 residents, the city is noted for the diversity of its people and the strength of its community fellowship. The Gahanna-Jefferson Public School District has seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. There is also one private school and one Christian academy. Approximately 64% of the students graduating from Gahanna Lincoln High School are pursuing a four-year college education, 18% are entering two-year colleges, 3% are entering the military and the remaining are pursuing other opportunities. The school district is noted for exceptional parental involvement, and strong partnerships with the business community and city government.
