Dublin has developed into one of the most progressive suburbs of Columbus. Surrounding the banks of the Scioto River, Dublin has 38 parks on more than 1,000 acres of land. The city’s population is estimated to be over 36,500. It is home to more than 3,000 businesses including the corporate headquarters of Cardinal Health and Wendy’s Restaurants as well as Ashland, Inc., OCLC, and the creator WorldCat. Dublin is on the cutting edge of technology in its creation of a city-wide internet hotspot. Each year, the city hosts The Memorial Tournament, which is part of the PGA Golf Tour. Dublin is home to three other golf courses, private and public. Some of Dublin’s most famous residents include musician, Eric Clapton, PGA Tour Golfer, Jack Nicklaus and former Ohio State football and NFL running back, Eddie George.

The Dublin City School District has three high schools, four middle schools, and twelve elementary schools. As of Fall 2006, the approximate student enrollment was 13,200. Bill Moyer’s documentary, Children in America’s Schools stated Dublin to be the best school district in the Country.

Enjoy festivities such as the 4 th of July music event, a St. Patrick’s Day parade, and the Dublin Irish Festival. The third-largest shopping center in Columbus is located at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin. The Columbus Zoo is located just outside the city limits. Dublin is directly accessible by US 33/SR 161 and I-270, and is approximately a 20-minute drive to downtown Columbus.
